'Paris Walks' is a piano composition dedicated to the long walks I used to take every time I visited the city of Paris.
When I was sixteen, I had a serious motorcycle accident in which I broke my collarbone and had to undergo rehabilitation for a while. Later, my mother, once a year, would take me to Paris to visit an osteopath she knew to check my bones and make sure everything was in place.
Everytime we visited Paris, we would stay for a few days as my mother loved to go shopping and I remember that we would spend hours walking. Many years later I returned to this city with my partner and I also remember these long walks.
Although sometimes I got bored from walking around Paris, now I remember these long walks with a bit of nostalgia and wanted to compose a piano piece dedicated to those times walking around Paris for more than 4 hours and often getting wet in the rain.
Although I have not been back to Paris for a long time, I am convinced that one day I will walk its streets again.
